Web Design and Television Media

Most people think if they get a website up and running (people will come = if you build it). This is totally wrong! There are billions of websites and there is no way someone will find your site if you don’t do something about it.

Building a site and then using television to drive traffic to the site is very effective. However, one must have deep pockets to get your website on television.

Here is a simple plan to run a test:
a) If you live in Boston, contact a boston web design firm to help you build a website
b) Do not try to buy your own media on television. Instead contact a drtv media buyer or a direct response television planning company
c) Work on creating a simple ad that will run on television
d) Run a test campaign and budget about $10k to about $15k
e) Measure the traffic coming to your website
f) Track the orders/leads

This will allow you to gauge the effectiveness of your website and your television campaign.

Having a good looking site that contains all the branding elements one could desire does not equate to success on the web. Internet Marketing Boston

A good web design consists of “actual design” as seen my visitors and must take into account the search engine bots that crawl the site / index the site. If a website does not take into account “organic” search engine traffic, the web design no matter how good it is will result in a overall failure.

Based in Massachusetts, a Boston web design firm has been working on fixing client websites that were designed primarily by graphic artists that were great designers but not well versed in designing a site that is “search engine friendly”

When choosing your Boston web design company, you need to be aware of everything out there. If your website / service does not need search engines to drive traffic to it, you can go ahead and build your application or site using flash. Traditional PR can drive traffic to a 100% flash based site but don’t count on getting indexed.

Even though Adobe claims “flash is readable” by bots, there is no proof that this is true. We also plan to discuss “who can use flash” and “not worry about google”

The basics are simple:
- if you don’t have a huge brand name

- if you rely on users searching for your product you need to have index-able (readable) content on your site.

Boston web design companies can assist you in developing a clear site for your customers. You should never assume that a visitor understands your company. The site is supposed to be for the user to get to know what you do and how your company operates. The site must be clear and useful. For example, if you are selling a product, you must make the shopping cart accessible to the customer at any moment they need it. Otherwise, the temptation to leave the site  is present by it not being convenient for them to shop. Be sure you effectively relay the message to anyone who visits.
